In the summer of 2000 I had the opportunity to work for Harley-Davidson at the world headquarters in Milwaukee. Headquarters, located on 3700 W. Juneau Ave., included parts and accessories, sales, research & development. Working for a world class company like Harley was great experience.

Internship highlights:

- Used Manugistics software to identify and obsolete parts within existing inventory. Reduced inventory from $1,031,500 to $704,000 in two months

- Reduced drop shipments by designating certain vendors as tier one on a supply chain. Worked with Harley-Davidson management and vendors to establish an efficient supply chain and eliminate previous lead-time off-setting issues

- Used Manugistics software to maintain 500 part SKU's. Forecasted, released orders, and reviewed backorders for the Controls and Electrical division of Parts and Accessories
