I worked for Intel Corporation in Chandler AZ from July 2001 until September 2006. Overall I really enjoyed working for Intel. My favorite part of the job was by far the interaction with my coworkers. Intel hires some great employees.

KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Monitoring the Shipping Environment - Enabled a proactive quality program by leading a team that delivered a solution that will monitor Intel's shipping lanes. Transformed a rough idea into a worldwide program complete with procedures, controls and a supporting team. Rallied 30+ worldwide stakeholders, aligned a core team of 7 people and created and delivered technical training,

Materials Should Cost Model - Led a team of Fab MS and DNS IEs to create a dynamic headcount model for Fab material handlers. Facilitated working sessions with high level Bax managers, captured and measured current activities and summarized the result in a format that is easy to understand and proliferate. Challenged the current material headcount assumptions, identified Bax as 21% overstaffed and forced a decision to RFQ. The RFQ revealed a cost savings opportunity estimated at $5,000,000 - $12,000,000.

Internationalization - Identified capacity planning as a function ready to be decentralized, redesigned the work flow and tools, created and delivered training, monitored progress and facilitated the post mortem. Identified SSN Demand Planning as a function ready to be internationalized, redesigned the data pull process and successfully trained and monitored new Demand Planner in Asia.

Process Redesign - Developed new methodology for demand planning reduced the process time by 50% and removed 60% of the steps from the critical path (resulted in a BKM for quantifying indirect productivity). All internationalization activities resulted in time savings and improved customer service with no additional cost to the parent organization.
