Kimberly-Clark

In the summer of 1999 I had an internship with Kimberly-Clark in LaGrange, Georgia. At KC I was given a great project to work on.
• Developed a new Bill of Materials matrix.
• Identified discrepancies in raw material consumption figures. Worked with process engineers, financial analysts, and production planners to locate the source of problems.
• Used Excel to develop a new process for making weekly production forecasts for a rewinding machine. Reduced the original process from three hours to fifteen minutes.
• Discovered 160 rolls of old inventory. Developed and implemented a company-wide process for re-work. Inventory was reduced to 50 rolls in 30 days.

I also met some great friends through work and that made the summer speed by.
