Material Management Group manages class "C" materials (nuts, bolts, small plumbing and electrical supplies) for large companies. MMG purchases these materials from many different suppliers and delivers the product directly to the assembly line.

I have had a long relationship with Material Management Group. My father started it in 1989 as a partnership in our house in Wrightstown, Wisconsin. Though I was too young to understand most of the business, I still worked there cleaning and odd jobs. As I grew older I was given more responsibility and learned much more about the company. When I chose my major at the UW, my experiences at MMG really helped me choose my major. Here are a few things that I was able to include on my resume over the years.

· Traveled throughout the United States representing Material Management Group at various customer locations.
· Checked supply levels between work cells and distributed inventory as needed.
Warehouse Technician 1/93-4/95
· Decided the proper "point of use" inventory levels for clients.
· Performed cycle counts on inventory.
· Used computer system and Texlon radio frequency equipment to order pick and bar code inventory.
Maintenance and Support Worker 5/91-1/93
· Separated mixed parts from vendors and customers.
· Entered data and performed telemarketing.
