Summer 1999                Intern – Production Planning

·         Identified discrepancies in raw material consumption figures.  Worked with process engineers, financial analysts, and production planners to locate the source of problems

·         Used Excel to develop a new process for making weekly production forecasts for a rewinding machine.  Reduced the original process from three hours to fifteen minutes

·         Discovered 160 rolls of old inventory.  Developed and implemented a company-wide process for re-work.  Inventory was reduced to 50 rolls in 30 days
